"Our aim is always to make the installation process speedy and efficient
with as little disruption to your daily routine as possible."
what we do
...take a tired bathroom and transform it!
The ensuite bathroom on the left was in desperate need of renovating, so we worked closely with the owners to create the stunning, new effect pictured above.
The owners were keen to retain the traditional style of their period home but wanted a clean, simple look with a contemporary twist.
The sanitary ware is by Villeroy & Boch and the shower system by Grohe. The use of tumbled marble on the walls and floors added to the rustic look.
This bathroom took 10 days to install including an under-tile heating system.
...how we do it
- Before installing any bathroom, we work with our clients to produce an appropriate design, select fittings and decoration, and conduct a survey of the technical requirements of the job. As always the survey is carried out well in advance to allow time for all the products to arrive prior to the installation.
- Day one of the installation starts by stripping out the old bathroom and preparing for the new. Without good preparation and organisation, the end result would be less than satisfactory. A skip is used to dispose of the old bathroom and any unwanted rubbish.
- The plumbing is then carried out as required by our qualified plumber to the usual very high standard. In this case alterations were required to the existing plumbing system to accommodate the relocation of new fittings.
- The electrical work is carried out next in order to supply the low-voltage lighting, controls for the thermostatic shower and connections for the under-tile heating system. All electrical work is carried out and tested by our qualified electrician in line with the appropriate regulatory standards, and the customer is issued with the necessary documentation.
NB: Since the introduction of the new Part P legislation, domestic electrical work such as lighting in a bathroom must be conducted by a qualified electrician. - The walls and ceiling are replastered in order to provide smooth surfaces and a sound base for the tiles. Our plasterers are very professional, clean and tidy.
- The new fittings such as WC, sink, and shower system are then installed. (Fittings may be plumbed in at different stages during the installation depending on the specific bathroom.)
- Tiling is the finishing touch that totally transforms the space into the bathroom of your dreams. In this case our client selected tumbled marble from Amarestone's fabulous range of natural stone products in order to achieve the style and feel they wanted. Natural stone such as the marble used in this bathroom requires specialised fitting and the application of special treatments. Our tiling is always carried out by our tiling specialist to achieve the perfect result.
- The whole process is project managed by Kevin Cordell who is always on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
The end result is a stunning en-suite bathroom which our customers were very happy with, as demonstrated by their comments below.....
"We asked SpringTide to create 3 different luxury bathrooms. The effect and end result is a stunning creation combining marble and contemporary chrome without a pipe or fitting to be seen. The team at SpringTide were second to none both in terms of planning accuracy of information and costings, project management, installation and after sales snagging and issue resolution. The project ran like clockwork and was minimally disruptive to our family and professionally managed. Thoroughly recommended!"
